Description:
C5191 Tin phosphor bronze is the earliest alloy used about 4000 years by human beings. It has corrosion-resistant, wear-resistant, good mechanical and technological properties, and can be well welded and brazed, no sparks during impacting. It is divided into processing and casting tin bronze. The tin content is less than 6% ~ 7% when it used for processing bronze, and tin content for casting tin bronze is 10% ~ 14%. Tin phosphor bronze has high strength, elastic abrasion resistance and diamagnetization, good working performance under hot and cold pressure, high flame resistance to electric spark, weldability and fiber welding, good machinability, corrosion resistance in atmospheric fresh water.
Applications:
C5191 is used to make springs and spring contact plates with good conductivity, wear-resistant parts and antimagnetic parts in precision instruments, such as gears, brush boxes, vibrating plates, contactors, etc. Tin bronze is a kind of non-ferrous metal alloy with the smallest casting shrinkage. It is used to produce castings with complex shape, clear outline and low air tightness. It is very corrosion-resistant in atmosphere, sea water, fresh water and steam, and is widely used in steam boilers and marine ship parts. Phosphorous tin bronze has good mechanical properties and can be used as wear-resistant and elastic parts of high-precision machine tools. Lead tin bronze is often used as wear-resistant parts and sliding bearings. Zinc containing tin bronze can be used as high air tightness casting.
